About the drug:

Polidocanol is the main active pharmaceutical ingredient present in Asklerol Injection. Polidocanol is a sclerosant, local anesthetic and antipruritic agent. It is commonly prescribed for the treatment of bleeding gastroduodenal ulcers, esophageal varies along with several other problems.

Polidocanol sis a long chain fatty alcohol, which exerts its action by acting as a sclerosing agent. Sclerosant effect occurs only in the veins with actual varicose changes and not on veins with moderate cylindrical dilation, this sclerosant effect is due to irritation of the vein intima, which causes a local, adhesive thrombosis in the area of the damaged endothelium. This drug works by damaging the endothelium of blood vessel, and thereby blocks the vein.

Before you take the drug:

Do not take the drug if you:

How much to take the drug?
