Angispan TR containing nitro-glycerine (active ingredient) is effective in treating chest pain associated with restricted blood flow towards the heart. It also helps people with sudden vasoconstriction of heart arteries, or heart attack. Nitroglycerin, the active ingredient of the medicine relaxes blood vessels, which improves the blood and oxygen flow to your heart. This helps prevents chest pain caused by angina. However, the drug does not stop an episode of chest pain. The oral medication will not relieve chest pain once it occurs.
