Do not take Mebex 100 mg if you are allergic to Mebendazole or any other ingredients of the medicine. Let your doctor know if you have a history of epilepsy, diabetes, and heart rhythm problems. Keep a complete record of all the medicines you are taking along with Mebex 100 mg. Pinworm infections spread from one person to another easily, especially with close contact. Take extra care while handling clothes, linen, and towels of an infected person in the house and ensure that they are washed every day as well as not shared by non-infected people. You should properly disinfect the house to minimize the possibility of pinworm infestation. Tell your doctor about all medications you use while taking Mebex 100 mg. This includes prescription, over the counter, vitamin, and herbal products. Your doctor will provide you with the list of drugs to be avoided while taking this drug. Some drugs can interact with Mebendazole reducing its effectiveness, especially anti-seizure drugs such as phenytoin, mephenytoin, and carbamazepine. However, these are not all the possible drugs that can interact with Mebendazole. Inform your doctor about all your medications in advance. Never start a new medication, nor stop using any existing medication without proper medical advice.

Every medicine has some side effects; likewise, Mebex 100 mg can cause unwanted effects, and these may include chest pain, hoarseness, diarrhoea, temporary hair loss, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, bloody or cloudy urine, difficulty breathing, skin rash, sore throat, shortness of breath bladder pain, chest pain, difficulty with swallowing, temporary hair loss, bloody or cloudy urine.

Take Mebex 100 mg as per doctor’s prescription. The amount of medicine that you take depends on the strength of the medicine and the condition of the patient. Do not use more of it and do not use it more often than your doctor ordered. It may take about 3 days after starting the treatment for the worms to be purged from your stomach and intestines. The time to clear the body of worms also depends on how susceptible the worm is to Mebendazole, and how quickly one’s digestive system is functioning. Fasting, laxatives, and purging will not remove the worms from the body. Always store Mebendazole in a cool and dry place. If you are taking the tablets, then you can just swallow the tablets with a glass of water. Do not break or crush the tablet.
