You must inform your doctor about your medical history and the list of all medications you may be using, especially those: alcohol, isocarboxazid, linezolid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, adrenaline, dopamine, methyldopa, iron preparation, and ethanol. Do not take the Entacom tablet if you are:

Also, inform your doctor if you have any issues like depression, kidney/liver disease, skin reactions, severe muscle weakness, irregular heartbeats or tumor of the adrenal gland.

Dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, difficulty breathing, confusion, and drowsiness are the common side effects of Entacapone. If any side effects continue for a long time, contact your doctor immediately.

Entacapone may rarely cause serious side effects such as nausea, high fever, hallucination, very stiff muscles, restless muscle movements of the eyes, unexplained muscle and joint pain, and dark color urine.

Entacom dosage depends on your age, weight, treatment response, and medical condition. Therefore, your doctor will decide your correct dose. Take the dose exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Never take two tablets at one time to compensate for the dose.

The drug is to be taken with or without the food as directed by your doctor. The tablet is to be swallowed with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Take the dose until you finish the prescription. Do not stop and change the dose even if you feel better. You should complete the prescribed treatment duration.
