Flonida 5% is prescribed for patients with precancerous and cancerous growths affecting the outer layer of skin caused by ageing or exposure to sunlight, including:

      — Keratoses, including senile, arsenical, and actinic forms (also known as sunspots)

      — Keratoacanthoma (a tumour most commonly presents as a domestic nodule that develops on hair-bearing, sun-exposed skin.

      — Bowen’s disease (An early form of skin cancer that’s easily treatable) and simple skin cancers

Solar Keratoses are red, rough, scaly, or crusty spots on the skin that are caused by excessive exposure to sunlight. They more commonly occur on sun-exposed areas, such as the face, ears, chest, forearms, and back of the hands. Solar keratoses do not cause any harm, but there’s a slight risk of developing skin cancer.

Bowel disease appears as a red, scaly patch on the skin. It occurs when abnormal growth happens in the outer layer of the skin. It is most commonly found on the lower leg.

Keratoacanthoma is a common tumour in the pilosebaceous glands and resembles squamous cell carcinoma. It appears as a dome-shaped tumour that grows on your skin. It usually grows rapidly and then may shrink and resolve without treatment. Ask your doctor if you have any questions about Flonida 5% has been prescribed to you.
