Pletoz 50 contains the active ingredient Cilostazol, categorized under the class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 3 inhibitors. The exact way that Pletoz work is not well understood. Although how Cilostazole works is not completely clear, its main function is to dilate are arteries supplying blood to the legs and reduce the clotting activity of some blood cells called platelets inside your vessels. You have been prescribed Cilostazol containing medicinal product for intermittent claudication, which is often defined as cramp-like pain in your legs when you walk and is caused by an insufficient blood supply in your legs. Cilostazol can increase the distance you can walk without pain since it improves blood circulation in your legs. Pletoz is only recommended for individuals whose symptoms have not improved sufficiently after making lifestyle modifications (such as quitting smoking and increasing exercise) and after other appropriate measures. It is important to follow these lifestyle modifications while taking Pletoz.
