Disulfiram is the generic brand of Dizone tablet which was discovered in the year 1920 to support the treatment of alcoholism. The drug works by producing sensitivity to ethanol and brings the patient out of the stage of intoxication of the drug. The drug discourages the alcohol need by causing some unpleasant side effects such as vomiting, sweating, anxiety, breathing difficulty, choking, etc. The medicine discourages alcohol craving and does not cure alcoholism.
