About the drug:

The medicine is potent bisphosphonate which is mainly used in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis.

Before you take the drug:

Do not take the drug if you:

  • Are allergic to ibandronic acid or any other ingredients of the medicine.
  • Are having low blood calcium. You must correct it by undergoing treatments before starting the medicine.
  • Have problems such as difficulty in swallowing or narrowing food pipes.
  • Are pregnant or planning to be pregnant
  • Are breast feeding your baby

Tell your doctor if you:

  • Are suffering from severely reduced kidney functions
  • Are suffering from rare hereditary problems such as the Lapp lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption  or galactose intolerance
