Lumacip Plus is a prescription medication used for the short-term treatment of moderate to severe melasma of the face. It contains Hydroquinone, Fluocinolone, and Tretinoin in a cream base for topical application. The use of sunscreens is essential during the treatment. The cream should not be used to maintain the results. After achieving control with Lumacip Plus 15 gm cream, some patients may be provided with other treatments. The skin condition usually recurs upon discontinuation of this combination medication.
Lumacip Plus Uses
Lumacip Plus 15 gm cream is a combination topical medication that contains three active ingredients, namely, Fluocinolone, Hydroquinone, and Tretinoin. It is primarily used to treat melasma, inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, and acne. It lightens brown colour patches on the skin.
- Fluocinolone-It is classified as an anti-inflammatory agent.
- Hydroquinone-It is used as a depigmenting agent.
- Tretinoin- It is classified therapeutically as a keratolytic. It reduces the appearance of dark spots.
Lumacip Plus Working
By increasing the turnover number of follicular epithelial cells, Lumacip Plus 15 g cream provides relief from inflammatory skin diseases.
Lumacip Plus Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Hydroquinone, Tretinoin, or Fluocinolone is a contraindication.
Lumacip Plus Usage Instructions
Wash your hands and face prior to the application. The Clean and dry the affected skin area that needs to be treated. Apply a thin layer of the formulation all over the affected area and rub gently. Applying an excessive amount won’t provide faster results instead may cause unwanted effects. Avoid getting the preparation in your, eyes, nose or mouth. Also, avoid the use of other products unless told by your dermatologist.
