It lowers blood sugar by helping the body increase insulin levels after meals. It contains the active substance Saxagliptin, categorized under the class of drugs known as oral antidiabetics. The antidiabetic agent helps to control the sugar level in your bloodstream. Onglyza is effective for adult patients aged 18 years and older with Type 2 diabetes.
