Money Order Troubles
This is my first time ordering from All Day Chemist. I had originally wanted to use PayPal, but they said their card processing service was down. I didn't feel comfortable giving my bank information, so I decided a money order was the next best option. I kept in contact with them on how to go about the process with that payment choice. Their customer service agent told me it was fine to send a money order, and gave me the address to send it to but neglected to tell me that they had a very specific way of filling it out. I wrote my money order out to "All Day Chemist" because that seemed like the local recipient and sent it out quickly so they would ship my order. They had told me to send them a picture of my money order and I did that before I sent it. Thinking it was all fine, I dropped it in the mailbox and then got an email from them a few days later saying I had added the wrong recipient. It was supposed to be "paid to the order" of another company name, but that was the first I had heard of that. I asked them to send me the money order back so I could try and get my money back/get a new one in, but they refused and said that wasn't possible. I had to do a claim on the money order website pay a $20 fee to get the money order reissued to me so I could deposit it. Then, I had to get another one and write it out the way they should've advised me to from the start. AllDayChemist never offered any solution or apology for causing an error in the process, it was pretty much an "oh well" type of thing. It wasn't a huge deal to pay the extra $20 because the face treatment I got was still such a great deal, but it was a bit irritating to have to pay extra due to their customer service agent forgetting to give me important details. They also took a very long time to respond to emails but that's probably CoVid related. I still don't really understand why they couldn't have sent back the original money order. I'm sure there's probably a logistical reason, but it's a mildly annoying. It would have only cost them the price of a stamp but instead it cost me $18 because of their miscommunication. Oh well I guess! I'll still order from them because you can't beat the price, but at least now I know the process.
