"10 Years and Going Strong"
Like many others, I started using Saheli 10 years ago after frustration with other birth control methods. I did a lot of research before starting up - much as I could for a birth control method widely used in another country - and everything was positive. Many women on the Aphrodite message board were loving the effectiveness and lack of side effects so I made the leap and I'm so happy I did. The only side effect is that my cycle runs anywhere between 28 and 36 days, but that's alright. I've run out twice over 10 years when I forgot to order early enough and my cramps were soooo much worse without it (which makes sense). I've also mentioned my taking this med to several ob/gyns and they were curious, stating "I could see how that would work. It might even be protective for breast cancer because of the class of drug." Also, I was asked "how much does it cost? Is it expensive". I said it runs me about $7 for the YEAR. My doc said, "Oh, that will never come to trial in the US. Noone would pay for that." All I can suggest to people considering using this drug is to do your own research, and then make the decision for yourself. If you have a good doc, get them involved and then pay attention to your body to see how it responds. This drug has been used with widely positive results in other countries for many years. It's a shame the US doesn't have non-hormonal options in pill form, but so be it. Also, I have used ADC the entire span of 10 years ordering this drug and others meds and I have never had a problem. I highly recommend both Saheli and ADC.

"Amazing Saheli"
Let me start off by saying that I never write reviews for anything, but Saheli has had such a positive impact on my life that I will gladly take a few minutes to write this review in the hopes that maybe my experience will convince other women to give Saheli a try.

I've been taking Saheli since 2012 and I love it! Before I found Saheli, I had spent 15 years using hormonal birth control pills, patches, and rings. Everything I've ever tried (many, many different brands and types in 15 years) had negative side effects for me: depression, acne, weight gain, headaches, raised blood pressure, recurrent yeast infections, etc. Then I found out about Saheli, did some research (including poring through all the scientific papers I could find online for it), decided to give it a try, and I haven't looked back. I would never go back to putting up with all those side effects from hormonal birth control, and I would never go back because taking hormonal birth control put women at risk for heart attack and stroke, something that Saheli doesn't do because it's not hormonal.

The only side effects I've experienced from taking Saheli have been sporadic periods (which doesn't bother me because they're lighter and shorter than what I experienced before I started taking Saheli), and a small decrease in breast mass (Saheli works by limiting the effects of estrogen on the uterus, and this anti-estrogenic action can also cause a slight decrease in breast size, but it's really not enough to worry about in my opinion). The only negative thing I would say about Saheli is that it is a little trickier to get started on it than hormonal birth control pills, but once you've passed the initial startup, it's all smooth sailing from there. I set a recurring weekly alarm on my phone so I don't forget to take it, and that's all there is to it.

I would recommend Saheli to anyone. It is a highly effective oral birth control method with negligible side effects, and it has really been a blessing to me.

"The Best Birth Control"
I've been taking Saheli for one year now and I couldn't be happier with it. It's easy to take, zero side effects, no more PMS, much lighter and shorter periods and much less cramping. Oh and the best part? No pregnancy! I'm so pleased with Saheli!

"No side effects"
I've been taking this for almost 2 years now and I couldn't be happier with it. The once-per-week dosing is awesome. Unlike other birth control pills, I've had no side effects from this and only positive benefits: decreased PMS, decreased breast tenderness around menses, decreased cramps with menses. I also have not gotten pregnant (although I still use condoms because I want to be 100% sure I won't get pregnant). The company has also been good to work with.
