Talk to your doctor before using Simvastatin if you have allergies, drink large amounts of alcohol, have a history of liver disease, or if you have an operation. Tell your doctor if you are already using fusidic acid to treat a bacterial infection, your doctor may ask to discontinue Simvastatin for some time. Also, let your doctor know if you are using any other medicine before taking the cholesterol-lowering drug.

Some serious side effects associated with the use of Simvastatin Tab 80 mg are tenderness, cramps, muscle pain, inflammation of the liver, fever, flushing, inflammation of the blood vessels, skin eruptions, unusual bruising, skin sensitivity, hives, and swelling. If you develop any of these side effects, stop taking medicine and seek immediate medical help.

Your doctor will determine the right dose for you depending on your condition as well as the history of other medical conditions.
