Triolmezest combines three different medicines - Amlodipine, Olmesartan, and hydrochlorothiazide to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of moderate to severe heart problems, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. Combination therapy is an effective approach to increase antihypertensive effectiveness in those patients with poor blood pressure control. To achieve normal blood pressure levels, your doctor may prescribe Triolmezest combination therapy, particularly in those patients with a high risk of heart complications. The triple combination helps adult patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with a single or dual component formulation. All the three components work together and cause relaxation of blood vessels which improves blood flow, improve oxygen circulation, slows down the activity of your heart and reduces the risk of getting chest pain.

Patients with the following conditions are suggested to seek medical advice before taking Triolmezest 5/12.5/40mg:

  • Hypersensitivity to Olmesartan, Amlodipine, hydrochlorothiazide, or any other allergies. 
  • Severe renal impairment
  • Severe hypotension
  • Kidney failure
  • Chronic bronchitis/asthma
  • Left ventricular outflow tract obstruction
  • Pregnancy and lactation 

 

Be cautious if you suffer from heart problems, electrolyte balance, diabetes mellitus, gout, respiratory disorders, and cirrhosis. 

Side effects may or may not occur during the usage of Triolmezest 5/12.5/40mg. The triple combination therapy is usually well tolerated when used under medical supervision. You may or may not experience dizziness, heartburn, back pain, sleepiness, abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, palpitations, back pain, redness, and swelling of ankles/feet.

Rare but more serious side effects may include muscle pain, sweating, diarrhoea, changes in vision, constipation: anxiety, difficulty or painful urination.

The recommended dose of Triolmezest is one tablet per day. Take medicine as directed by your doctor. The triple combination drug is available in the form of a tablet that you must swallow with water immediately after taking out from the strip. Do not break or crush the pill. Do not swallow more doses than the prescribed amount. Follow your doctor’s instructions when it comes to taking medicine.
