Azithral Eye Drops 0.1% (3ml) is an antibiotic ophthalmic preparation used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis of the eyes. It contains the active ingredient Azithromycin, which effectively fights the infection by stopping the growth of bacteria. Azithromycin is also useful in treating numerous bacterial infections like middle ear infections, bones, joints, intestine and traveler’s diarrhea. The medicine should be taken under the supervision of a doctor. The effects of the medicine may vary from person to person.

Every medicine shows some side effects, same way this drug also has some undesired effects with it. It is not necessary that all the people encounter same side effects. The side effects may vary from person to person. Azithromycin shows common side effects such as sensitivity to sunlight, diarrhea, nausea, headache, itching, hoarseness, mouth sores, extreme tiredness, pain in the upper part of the stomach or abdominal pain, blisters and peeling of skin, mild abdominal pain and discomfort, or vaginal itching or discharge. Some serious and rare side effects that need serious consideration are watery or bloody diarrhea, chest pain, dizziness, fainting, red or purplish skin rash, blistering and peeling of skin, jaundice, and swollen face, throat and tongue.
Apply two to three drops of Azithral Eye Drops for two days and then once daily for five more days. Use it exactly as prescribed your ophthalmologist or health care specialist.
