You must share with your doctor the list of all medications you may be using, especially those: Antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine, Agonists, and Monoamine-oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). There may be other medications that may show interaction. Never start a new medication without consulting a doctor.

       — Do not share Betavert with anyone else, even if someone has similar symptoms as you do

       — Do not use this medication for any other disease without consulting with the doctor

       — In case you do not feel comfortable after completing the medication prescribed by your doctor, then consult your doctor immediately

       — Do not freeze the medicine and store the medicine at room temperature

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to this active ingredient Betahistine Hydrochloride or any other medicine ingredient. You also need to mention the states if you have:

       — A condition called porphyria

       — A tumor on your adrenal gland called phaeochromocytoma

       — Your age is under 18

       — Pregnant or planning to be pregnant soon

       — Are breastfeeding women

       — Have a  problem with high blood pressure

       — Have diabetes

       — Have asthma

       — Have or have ever had a stomach or intestinal ulcer

       — Have a history of skin reactions such as rash, hives, itching

       — Have hypertension or low blood pressure problem

Betahistine's common side effects are diarrhoea, nausea, feeling sick, and indigestion. If any of these effects continue for a longer time or become worsen, contact your doctor immediately.

Betahistine Hydrochloride may rarely cause serious side effects such as rash, pruritus, urticaria, dyspepsia, nausea, peptic ulcer disease, headache, dizziness, insomnia, skin swelling, hives, itching, and vomiting.

The dosage depends upon your age, weight, medical condition, and response to the treatment. Therefore, your doctor will decide the dose. Take the dose exactly as prescribed by the doctor.

The drug is usually recommended to be taken with food or snacks. The tablet is to be swallowed with a glass of water. Do not break or chew the tablet. You should take the dose until you finish the prescription. Do not change the dose or stop it even if you feel better. You should complete the prescribed dose.
