Exetu 25 mg is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of breast cancer in females who no longer have their menstrual periods, either because of menopause or because of surgical removal of the ovaries. It is given to reduce the risk of recurrence or spreading of breast cancer. This medicine is also prescribed when the cancer has not responded to other medicines or has returned after treatment. The active ingredient of the medicine is Exemestane, which reduces the supply of estrogen to cancer cells. This stops the growth of cancer cells, which require a female sex hormone, estrogen, to grow.

Precautions with Exemestane tablet

Symptoms of an allergic reaction are wheezing, breathlessness, swelling of the face, tongue, lips, and other parts of the body, itching, rash, or hives on the skin.

‒    Do not take the Eksemastan formulation if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, as this medication can affect your developing baby if taken during pregnancy. Also, do not breastfeed while taking this medicine, as there is an increased possibility that your baby may be affected.

‒    If you feel dizzy or weak while taking this medicine, avoid driving or operating machinery.
