Flawlizo Micro gel 0.1% is a prescription anti-acne treatment containing tretinoin (retinoid) as the active ingredient. Topical tretinoin is both a short-term option and a long-term treatment for acne. Retinoids have been used to treat acne vulgaris, dark spots, pigmentation, and skin ageing.  Tretinoin is considered one of the strongest and most effective topical retinoids for treating acne and skin ageing. The retinoid formulation speeds up skin cell turnover, meaning dead skin cells are shed more rapidly as new skin cells rise to the surface. This faster cell turnover opens pores, helping release trapped acne-causing bacteria or irritants that contribute to acne. Regular application of the gel helps regulate sebum production, helping prevent future breakouts.

In addition, the medication's anti-inflammatory properties help clear active pustular acne. The high-strength formulation is often used to treat cystic acne, which is a severe form of acne that can lead to boil-like infections. These are the deep lesions that can lead to permanent scarring as they heal. Since the topical formulation speeds up the skin cell turnover, it can promote the growth of new cells at scar sites. This also helps reduce hyperpigmentation or darkening of the skin. To achieve the best results, it is essential to consult a dermatologist to prescribe Flawlizo gel 0.1%, which helps keep your skin as healthy as possible and prevents long-term damage.

Precautions  with tretinoin gel

It may take up to 12 weeks to see results with a tretinoin formulation. If excessive irritation occurs, consult your dermatologist to check whether the symptoms are normal. If you don’t see improvement within 8 to 12 weeks, talk to your dermatologist about discontinuing treatment or considering other treatment options. While using this retinoid formulation, be cautious when exposed to sunlight. Like other retinoids, Flawlizo can contribute to skin thinning, making it more vulnerable to damage and sunburn. Make sure you apply sunscreen whenever you step outside and consider using additional sun-protective measures, such as a wide-brimmed hat and full-sleeve clothing. Do not use tretinoin if you become pregnant or think you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Avoid using the retinoid formulation if you have eczema or other chronic skin issues, especially on your face, as it is one of the most commonly prescribed topical medications for cystic acne. Flawlizo gel (tretinoin) is considered safe and well-tolerated by most people. However, in certain cases, it should not be used due to health issues associated with it. Flawlizo gel 0.1% should not be used if you are sunburned, are sensitive to sunlight or are using photosensitising drugs such as tetracycline, fluoroquinolones, sulphonamides, phenothiazines, etc.

Side effects of tretinoin gel

Using Flawless Gel 0.1% for acne can cause side effects. However, not everyone develops all of these side effects, and the severity of the symptoms varies. Possible side effects of the medication include excessive dryness, itching, skin burning, feeling warmth when touching the skin, redness, skin peeling, and skin lightening at the application site.

Usage instructions of tretinoin gel

If you want to use Flawlizo gel to treat acne, consult your dermatologist to determine if it is a suitable option for you. Generally, a low dose of a topical retinoid is recommended for treating whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. If required, your dermatologist can gradually increase the dose as you adjust to the lowest dose. To use Flawlizo gel 0.1% safely and effectively, follow your dermatologist's directions. Cleanse your skin with a mild soap or cleanser, then pat it dry before applying Flawlizo micro gel. Rinse your hands thoroughly before applying the formulation to your face. Wait for a few minutes to make sure that your skin is completely dry before using the topical preparation. Prefer using a small amount of the product to cover the affected areas lightly. There is no need to apply a thick layer of the formulation; a pea-sized amount is enough to cover the entire face.

To apply the medication, use fingertips, avoiding sensitive areas such as the nostrils, eyes, and lips. Gently rub the formulation into the affected area and allow it to absorb fully.  The product should be applied once daily before bedtime to allow the retinoid formulation to fully absorb into your skin. It is best not to apply the makeup or any other product immediately after using the medication.
