Foracort forte inhaler 12/400 mcg combines two medicines in a single inhaler. It helps to relieve the long-term symptoms of asthma and COPD, making breathing easier. It is a combination of Budesonide and Formoterol Fumarate that is also used to stop flare-ups or deteriorating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Budesonide is a corticosteroid drug that stops the release of inflammation-causing chemicals and substances in the body. Formoterol Fumarate, on the other hand, is a bronchodilator that functions by relaxing muscles in the air passages to enhance breathing.

     –    In treatment and prevention of asthma

Foracort forte inhaler helps to prevent the onset of an asthma attack if it is used before exercise or exposure to some triggers. These triggers include pets, house dust, pollen, and cigarette smoke. This medication will allow you to exercise freely without worrying about symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, and breathlessness.

     –    In treatment for COPD

Foracort Forte inhaler helps small airways in your lungs to stay open. It causes muscle relaxation in the airways, making it easier for air to get in and out. It helps to relieve symptoms, including chest tightness, breathing difficulties, coughing, and wheezing. The inhaler medication begins to work within a few minutes, and the effects can last several hours.

Remember not to use another form of Formoterol Fumarate (Severent) medicine or a similar inhaled bronchodilator (Foradil) like formoterol unless directed by your doctor. This medication may reduce the count of white blood cells in your body, which are crucial to your body’s defense against foreign bodies and infections. Hence, stay away from sick people and avoid places where infections are high, like hospitals. Seek medical help if you are exposed to chicken pox or measles, as it can be fatal in people who are taking steroidal medications.

Store Budesonide and Formoterol Fumarate medication and inhalers in a cool and dry place. Don’t expose the canisters to high temperatures, or they may explode. Don’t use this combination inhaler if you are allergic to fluticasone, Formoterol Fumarate, or milk proteins. Also, avoid this medication if you are already having an asthma attack or severe COPD conditions.
