Foracort inhaler 6/200 mcg is a prescription combination drug for the long term, twice daily, maintenance treatment of asthma in patients twelve years of age and older. One of the active ingredients of Foracort inhaler is Budesonide and the other one is Formoterol; both have different mechanism of action and show additive effects in term of reduction of asthma symptoms. The combination medicine is a treatment of choice for treating obstructive airways disease such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is quite effective as a long term, therapy where symptoms are not adequately controlled using a preventer medication.
