Hepbest 25 mg is a tablet indicated for the treatment and prevention of HBV (hepatitis B virus). It contains Tenofovir Alafenamide as its main active ingredient, a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) that is comparatively free of the adverse bone and renal effects associated with previously formulated tenofovir disoproxil fumarate for HIV treatment. The antiretroviral drug is clinically tested and approved for the treatment of HBV and HIV in combination with other medications. ‒ Hepatitis C or D — Tenofovir alafenamide has not been tested in patients with hepatitis C, D, or hepatitis B.

Do not give this medicine to children who are under 12 years of age and weigh less than 35 kg, as this antiviral drug has not been tested in this population.

Common side effects of this medicine include abdominal pain, bloatedness, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, depression, joint pain, tiredness and vesiculobullous reaction. Other side effects associated with the use of Hepbest are decreased bone mineral density and pneumonia.
