The common side effects associated with this medicine are low blood pressure, dizziness, loss of appetite, weakness, and constipation. Patients with warm (Loa Loa) infection may experience backaches, neck pain, difficulty standing, bladder or bowels control issues, abnormal brain function, etc.  Worm Onchocera volvulus patients may experience pain in muscles, headache, fast heart rate, bleeding in the whites of eyes or swelling in eyelids, swelling of lymph nodes etc. Call or visit your doctor if you experience any problematic side effects.

Patients who have hypersensitivity to the active agent of this drug should not use this medicine. Follow your doctor’s advice to have a better and result-oriented treatment. This medicine comes in a tablet form; take medicine empty stomach with a glass of water. The dosage varies according to patient’s weight and illness. Imrotab 12 mg is a once a day medicine to treat the condition; consult with your doctor if you find no improvement in your health. Take the tablet at the same time daily to avoid missing the dosage. Children under 6 years of age can have this medicine in crushed form.
