Limited information is available on the use of Ivetab 12 mg in patients with liver disorders and kidney problems. This antiparasitic drug may not be safe to use during pregnancy. Ivetab 12 mg is generally safe with minimum side effects. Here are not all the possible side effects you may experience when taking Ivetab 12 mg. • Low blood pressure
• Worsening of asthma
• Changes in some laboratory tests (an increase of liver enzymes, increase of bilirubin in blood).

Side effects usually depend on what you are taking Ivermectin for. They also depend on whether you have any other infections.

Side effects experienced by people with intestinal infections include:

• Feeling dizzy
• Shaking or tremors
• Loss of appetite
• Feeling unusual week

People infected with river blindness may experience:

• Fast heart rate
• Joint or muscle pain
• Headache
• Swelling of lymph nodes
• Bleeding in the whites of your eyes or swelling of your eyelids
• Changes to your vision and other eye problems such as redness, infection, or unusual feelings.

People infected with scabies may get severe itching.

Although an allergic to the medicine is rare, very few may experience symptoms of an allergic reaction. These include sudden fever, skin reaction (such as rash or itching), and difficulty breathing.  

The optimal dosage of Ivetab 12 mg largely depends on the individual's weight, medical history, age, and current condition. This Ivermectin formulation is effective in the dose and duration your doctor advises. The recommended dose is a single oral dose that a patient should take on an empty stomach with water. Do not stop the treatment even if you see improvement in your parasitic infection. It is important to complete the treatment; sudden discontinuation or stopping the treatment before the prescribed period may cause the symptoms to return even worse. Do not self-medicate, as it could lead to unwanted side effects. Be sure to use this medicine under the supervision of a doctor to get the maximum benefit of Ivetab.

If you miss a dose of Ivermectin, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time to take the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose. Ensure you do not take two doses to make up for the missed one, which may increase the chances of developing adverse effects.
