Levoflox 250mg

Before taking the Levoflox 250mg tablet, please inform your doctor if you have any allergies, liver problems, or kidney disorders. Avoid taking Levoflox 250 mg tablets alone as self-medication may contribute to antibiotic resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. And if prescribed by the doctor, Levofloxacin is safe to use during pregnancy.

Do not take Levoflox 250 mg if you have ever had severe allergies to an antibiotic known as fluoroquinolone or are allergic to any of the ingredients in Levofloxacin. It is not known if Levoflox is safe and works in children under the age of six months. Sometimes viruses are responsible for causing the infection rather than by bacteria. For example- viral infections in the lungs and sinuses, such as the common cold and flu. Levofloxacin does not kill viruses.

Levoflox and other medicines can affect each other, causing side effects. Tell your doctor if you take a steroid medicine, an anti-psychotic drug, a tricyclic antidepressant, or a water pill. Certain medicines may keep Levofloxacin from working correctly.

Be sure to take these tablets either two hours before or two hours after taking sucralfate, didanosine, a blood thinner, an anti-diabetic agent, NSAIDs, a blood thinner, theophylline, antiarrhythmics, an antacid, multivitamins, or other medicines or supplements with aluminium, magnesium, zinc or iron.  Children are more likely to get bone, joint, or musculoskeletal problems such as pain or swelling while taking Levoflox. Whether it is safe to use Levoflox in children for more than two weeks is unknown.    

Side effects may happen while taking Levoflox, which can cause nausea, headache, insomnia, dizziness, and constipation. These side effects are usually temporary and resolve independently, but speak to your doctor if they become troublesome or persist for longer. Diarrhoea may also occur as an adverse effect but should stop when your course of medication is complete. Tell your doctor immediately if it does not stop or you find blood in your stools.    

Take Levoflox exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Drink plenty of fluids while taking Levoflox. Oral dosing with Levoflox tablets can be without regard to meals. The dose of Levoflox can vary depending on your condition as well as the severity of the infection. Patients should avoid using antacids, or Levofloxacin should be administered two hours before or two hours after taking antacids containing aluminium or magnesium. It is crucial to maintain proper hydration to prevent the presence of crystals in urine.
