Montair 10 mg is an effective therapy for adults and adolescents, aged 15 years and older with asthma. It is beneficial for those who are not adequately controlled on their asthma medications and need additional treatment to gain control over asthma symptoms. The medicine comprises of Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, which works by blocking the action of leukotrienes in the body. Leukotrienes are the substances that are responsible for causing narrowing and swelling of airways in the lungs. The chemical substance also causes allergic symptoms. Montair helps control asthma symptoms and improves seasonal allergy symptoms such as seasonal allergic rhinitis and hay fever. Your doctor may prescribe it to treat and prevent asthma symptoms that occur during the day and night.
Do not take Montelukast 10 mg if you are allergic to it. Your doctor should be aware of all your medical problems and allergies you have or had earlier. The common side effects that are reported with, Montair 10 mg are abdominal pain, headache, asthma, fever, itchy skin, hyperactivity, thirst, asthma, or eczema.
Your doctor will tell you how Montair tablets should be used depending on the symptoms and severity of your respiratory illness. You may be asked to take it once daily with water.
