Resteclin 250mg

Inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of allergy to any antibiotic or develop permanent discoloration of the tooth before taking this medication. You may experience persistent diarrhea or the presence of blood in stools. In such cases,  treatment should be stopped right away. You may experience swelling and pain in the pancreas due to prolonged usage.    

Pregnant women should not take Resteclin 250 capsules as it is unsafe during pregnancy. The medication can cause side effects on the fetus, especially on bone development. It can harm the liver of the pregnant women. It passes into the breastmilk and may affect the newborn baby; hence, women are advised not to breastfeed during the treatment. However, if you have been suggested to take resteclin 250 mg, depending on your condition, then he may ask you to monitor the breastfed baby for the symptoms like rashes or diarrhea.

Some drugs can interact with resteclin 250 mg capsule or vice versa. Cap resteclin 250 mg can reduce the effects of allopurinol. Let your healthcare provider know if you use this medication or other medicines. Do not start a new medication without proper medical advice.

Antibiotics can cause diarrhea, which may signify a new infection. If you get watery or bloody diarrhea, stop taking Tetracycline and call your healthcare provider immediately. Do not use anti-diarrhea medicine without asking your doctor. Do not take iron supplements, multivitamins, calcium supplements, antacids, or laxatives within 2 hours before or after taking Tetracycline.

Avoid sunlight or artificial UV light exposure (sunlamps or tanning beds). Tetracycline can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, and you can easily get sunburned. If you must venture out in the sun, use proper sunscreen (minimum SPF of 15) and wear protective clothing. Mention your healthcare specialist if you have any liver/kidney issues or are more than 50 years old.

Resteclin can cause side effects. However, not all people who take it will experience side effects. Common side effects are Diarrhea, Nausea, Skin rash or itching, Stomach upset, Tympanites or excessive gas, and Vomiting. If you feel that you have a serious side effect due to this medication, get medical help immediately. The side effects mentioned above are non-exhaustive, and there may also be other side effects. Seek medical help if you witness any other severe side effects. 

The usual dose is 250 mg twice a day or 500 mg once daily. The dosage depends on age, weight, medical condition, and response to the treatment. The dosage for children is based on their age and weight. Hence, a healthcare specialist will decide your dose. Take the dose exactly as he prescribed. Do not alter the dosage unless he advises you to do so. Also, do not take this medicine after the prescribed period is over. Do not change the dose or stop it even if you feel better. Take cap resteclin at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Always store this medicine in a cool and dry place.
