Rpigat Tablets 15mg

Rpigat should not be given to patients:

     –   Hypersensitive to the active component

     –   Clinically significant bleeding

     –   Moderate to severe liver disease

     –   Undergoing dialysis or patients with severe kidney impairment due to an increased plasma level which may result in an increased risk of bleeding.     

     –   Pregnant or breastfeeding

     –   Concomitantly treated with HIV protease inhibitors such as ritonavir or ketoconazole.

Rivaroxaban can cause side effects, which can affect your ability to drive. It may cause dizziness or fainting, which may affect your driving ability.  

Most side effects of Rpigat 15 mg do not require medical attention and resolve as your body adjusts to the medicine. Talk to your healthcare provider if they persist or if you are worried about them. Common side effects of the medicine include bleeding, breathlessness, tiredness, weakness, headache, dizziness, and swelling. Other side effects of Rpigat include severe skin and allergic reactions, coughing up blood, bruising, swelling and pain in the limbs, or bleeding from the skin or under the skin; Rivaroxaban may decrease the number of platelets. Some people may develop fainting episodes, dry mouth, and a faster heartbeat. Seek immediate medical help if you develop if you notice any side effects.      

Rpigat 15 mg tablet should be taken with food. Patients who can’t swallow a whole 15 mg tablet can crush it and mix it with water or applesauce immediately before consuming it orally. After administering the crushed Rpigat tablet, the dose should be immediately followed by food. The dose and duration specified for each type of surgery are not to be exceeded. You need to take this medicine for many years, even for life in some cases.

Do not discontinue treatment without guidance from your doctor. It could quickly put you at high risk of developing a heart attack, stroke, or formation of blood clots within a blood vessel. However, one can reduce the risk of having a blood clot by making certain lifestyle changes, such as eating a healthy diet, not smoking, getting physical activity, and losing weight if needed.
