Silybon 70mg

Silybon may lower blood sugar levels. Caution should be taken in patients with diabetes who have extremely low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) or those taking medicines that affect blood sugar. Blood glucose levels may need to be monitored during the treatment.

No drug interaction can be found with Silybon 70 mg tablets. Silymarin's impact on liver function should be considered when pharmaceutical drugs are given concomitantly. The safety and effectiveness of Silymarin in pediatric and geriatric patients have not been established. There are currently no adequate and well-controlled studies with Silymarin in pregnant and lactating women. Silybon should only be used when needed.

Patients should be cautioned against engaging in activities that require an individual's complete attention and motor coordination, such as driving or operating machinery, until their response to Silymarin is known. 

Silybon is reported to have a safety profile. The medicine is nontoxic even when given in high doses. However, a laxative effect is observed at high doses, which can occur due to increased bile secretion and bile flow. Other side effects of the medicine include nausea, bloating, dyspepsia, and irregular stools. Silymarin may also cause an allergic reaction in some people, particularly those with known plant allergies. No other widely reported side effects are known when Silybon is taken at an appropriate dosage.
