Vagifem 10 mcg contains estrogen, a female hormone that regulates many processes in a woman’s body, including maintaining a healthy vaginal pH balance and flora and promoting healthy vaginal proteins. During menopause, estrogen production slows down and ultimately stops.
Vagifem helps to decrease symptoms associated with menopause. The estrogen cream delivers estrogen directly to the vagina and restores thickness and elasticity to the vaginal lining. The vaginal cream treats a wide range of symptoms of menopause, such as dryness, vaginal burning, itching, and itching of the vaginal area. It effectively reduces the sudden and strong need for urination and irritation around the genitals. The topical medicine is also effective in preventing urinary tract infections in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women.
There is an increased risk of endometrial cancer in a woman with a uterus who uses unopposed estrogens. Inform your doctor about unusual vaginal bleeding right away while using this vaginal cream. Avoid using estrogen alone to prevent heart conditions, strokes, heart attacks, or dementia. Using eestrogen-onlymedicine may increase your risk of getting strokes or blood clots.
