Azithral 250 mg DT tablet belongs to a class of medicines known as macrolide antibiotics. It effectively treats various bacterial infections of the respiratory system like:

  • Bronchitis
  • Tonsilitis,
  • Pneumonia,
  • Sinusitis and pharyngitis,
  • Ear infections,
  • Skin infections, and
  • Sexually transmitted infections.

 

Bacterial infection occurs when bacterial growth in the body causes an infection. 

Azithromycin slows down the growth or sometimes kills the harmful bacteria by preventing eh production of proteins required by the bacteria for its survival.
