Keep yourself full in the morning. A good breakfast will help you stay off unhealthy number of meals in a day. Have a wholesome breakfast of a bowl of oatmeal or cornflakes. Include fruits or nuts in your bowl of oatmeal or cornflakes and have a hearty breakfast.
Vegan Burger or a healthy salad
Switch the usual Ham and Cheese burger to the all-vegan burger with lettuce, beans, legumes and tomatoes. Veggies are a great source of essential vitamins and vitamin C and at the same time, they are Healthy to heart and to the waist. A salad is also filling when had with heart healthy fruits and herbs.
Use olive oil to cook your meals instead of butter or any other type of oil. Olive oil is also rich in antioxidants, including vitamin E and is heart healthy oil that goes with anything. Next time dip your bread in olive oil instead of butter. And use the wholegrain bread that is brown in colors. It’s healthier and tastier.
Avoid cream in your soup. Try low fat based soup. It’s as tastier as the creamy soup, only with a lot less calories. Skip the cream and soups can be a great snack, a healthy choice to appetizers and a great meal. While having yogurt too, make sure to have low fat yogurt and avoid having flavored yogurt as it’s filled with added sugar and superficial flavors that are not good for your health.
Swap the muffin
Swap the fattening blueberry muffin that is heavy and calorie snack, with a fruit scone that is healthy and light. It’s almost the same in taste but a healthier choice for you. Maintain the taste with smartness and healthier choice.
Be salt free
Be on a salt-less diet! Having too much sodium intake can be harmful to your body. Switch to chopped fresh or dried herbs, spices and some seasoning blends. If not completely off salt, reduce your intake by 70% and feel lighter instantly.
Say good bye to the red meat
Red meat has saturated fat which is not good for the health. Switch to grilled salmon instead of having red meat. Along with being a healthier choice, it’s also a great source of heart healthy omega 3 fats. Omega-3s are polyunsaturated fats that have been shown to benefit the heart as well as the brain. Grilled food is always a good choice over burned meat.
